An aircraft landed on a Minnesota highway on Monday, responding to an injury report at a construction site and temporarily closing a portion of the roadway.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the westbound lane on Interstate 94 was closed between the area of State Highway 610 and Brockton Lane near Dayton. It has since reopened.

Lt. Gordon Shank with the Minnesota State Patrol said that troopers responded to an injured person at a construction site along the highway at around 1 p.m. That person was transported with serious injuries via helicopter.
