While there were over 100 crashes Monday morning, it seems more crashes have occurred Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 114 crashes were reported with 16 of those resulting in injuries.

In addition to the crashes, 114 vehicles spin out or went off the road, and there were eight jackknifed semis.

As for Monday morning, Minnesota drivers dealt with snowy conditions which slowed traffic and caused some crashes, too.

The Minnesota State Patrol said from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., 133 crashes were reported, with 22 of those resulting in injuries. However, none involved serious injuries or fatalities.

In addition to the crashes, 168 vehicles spun out or went off the road during that same timeframe, and three semis jackknifed.

Winter weather advisory in effect as burst of snow hits state

Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow said the snow is expected to stop early in the afternoon and temperatures will then start dropping. Wind speeds may also pick up in the afternoon.
