A person has died after a Thanksgiving Day crash in Barron County, Wisconsin.
The Barron County Sheriff's Department stated it was notified of a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 48, east of Cumberland, at about 12:14 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Deputies—along with Cumberland police, fire and paramedic units—responded and found a Chevrolet truck with the driver trapped inside.
Initial investigation shows the truck lost control, went into a ditch and rolled several times, the sheriff's office said.
The driver—identified as Cole R. Schiebel, 21, of Kewaskum, Wisconsin—was extricated and taken to a hospital. Lifesaving measures were performed, but he later died from his injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Road conditions and alcohol contributed to the crash, authorities said.
