1 suffers minor injuries after light rail train hits van in St. Paul

One person suffered minor injuries after a light rail train hit a van Wednesday morning in St. Paul.

According to Metro Transit, a van made an illegal U-turn over light rail tracks at about 11 a.m. and was hit by a train near the intersection of University Avenue and Eustis Street.
