Hanna Conway

“I am thrilled to be working in my hometown, helping Minnesotans navigate the roads. You can count on me to help you with your morning commute.”

Previous experience

Hanna joined 5 Eyewitness News mornings in September 2021. She is no stranger to the station. In 2016 she was an intern for “Twin Cities Live.” Prior to moving home, she was the morning traffic anchor and reporter on “Good Morning Colorado” at KRDO in Colorado Springs for over three years. While she will miss the mountains, she is glad to be back in Minnesota.

Education

Hanna graduated from Mizzou. While she was in school, she worked at KOMU 8 News and was a part of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was proud to be the Master of Ceremonies at the Journalism School graduation in 2017. Hanna has also worked for Reuters in Brussels, Belgium while she was studying abroad.

Awards/Memorable experiences

Hanna won a Colorado Broadcaster Association award for her work on the station’s website in 2017. In 2016 she was the first American journalist on the scene of the Brussels Airport bombing in 2016 and filed reports from the field from her phone.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Hanna and her husband stay busy flipping their first home and can be found at Home Depot on the weekends. She enjoys taking her dog Teller for walks, trying new recipes, hiking and camping.
