Ken Barlow will be the new Chief Meteorologist for 5 Eyewitness News, effective immediately. Ken’s expert knowledge of broadcast meteorology and his extensive experience here in the Twin Cities, will help us develop the 5 Eyewitness News “Minnesota’s Weather Authority” brand.  In addition to providing leadership for our weather staff, Ken will continue on his current schedule as part of our #1 rated morning news team. Ken has served as Morning Chief Meteorologist since 2011.

Wren Clair now becomes the primary Evening Meteorologist for 5 Eyewitness News. Wren will add the newscasts that were previously presented by Dave Dahl and will be presenting weather forecasts in all newscasts from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM each weeknight.  Wren’s responsibilities will continue to include our key “Forecast First” franchise at 10:00 PM each night, leading into Nightcast. Wren has been with 5 Eyewitness News since 2018.

5 Eyewitness News is the most experienced at covering Minnesota’s unique and unpredictable weather. We have always been committed to the science of broadcast meteorology and will continue to serve our viewers by delivering accurate and up-to-the-minute weather information, every day, on every platform.

We’re proud to be “Minnesota’s Weather Authority”, where delivering the best local weather coverage is what we have done for decades and will continue to do in the future.
