Protesters disrupt Gov. Walz event; Walz vows to protect their right to protest

Updated: February 21, 2020 09:17 PM

Protesters joined a discussion involving Gov. Tim Walz at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Protestors from Justice for Jamar demanded accountability in officer-involved shootings while other protestors voiced their opposition to the Enbridge 3 oil pipeline.

Walz responded to the interruption by saying, "there are pieces of legislation moving through the legislature this year that would curtail people's ability to protest. I will oppose those with every fiber of my being as they go through."
