A Rice man was arrested after authorities responded to a crash in Stearns County.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road 2 and 421st Street in Brockway Township at about 2:03 a.m. Tuesday after a man reported he was involved in a crash.

Deputies found a power pole sheared off and power lines stretching across County Road 2.

The driver, 43-year-old Aaron Salzer, didn't complain of any injuries and didn't seek medical attention, the sheriff's office said. However, deputies noticed signs of alcohol impairment.

After additional investigation, Salzer was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to the sheriff's office. He was booked at Stearns County Jail on charges of third-degree DWI.
