Husky Refinery tower in Superior, Wisconsin at risk of collapsing

Updated: February 21, 2020 09:46 PM

A tower at Husky Refinery in Superior, Wisconsin is at risk of collapsing.

Workers on the tower heard a popping sound which has led to an evacuation of the refinery.

In 2018, an explosion around the same time of year caused a majority of the city of Superior to be evacuated.

Officials say that there is no current risk to the public and that the area around the tower is closed off.
