Hennepin County Attorney: 2 indicted by grand jury in Monique Baugh case

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced Friday that two men were indicted by a grand jury in connection to the death of Monique Baugh, a young mother and Minneapolis realtor.

According to a release from the attorney's office, 41-year-old Cedric Berry and 40-year-old Berry Davis were each indicted by the grand jury with first-degree premeditated murder and kidnapping.

The two were also charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection to the shooting of Baugh's boyfriend. 

Criminal complaints state on Dec. 31, Baugh was abducted on New Year's Eve while showing a home on the 8300 block of Niagara Avenue in Maple Grove.

The complaints say shortly after Baugh arrived at the home at about 3 p.m., a U-Haul van pulled up to the house and two men abducted Baugh.

Later that day, a U-Haul van arrived at Baugh's home. The complaints say a masked gunman entered the home and shot Baugh's boyfriend multiple times.

An hour later, officers responded to the 1300 block of Russell Avenue North in Minneapolis after a ShotSpotter report. Baugh was found with multiple gunshot wounds and duct tape around one of her wrists. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Shante Davis and Elsa Segura have also been charged in connection to the incident. 

According to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, Berry is in custody at this time. An arrest warrant has been issued for Davis.
