Two sisters from Blaine are helping in the fight to end blood cancer.

Sixteen-year-old Bella Sciara has a rare form of leukemia.

Bella and her twin sister Ava are trying to raise $150,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fund blood cancer research.

"I think we really recognize the value research has to improving the prognosis for cancer and things, so I think that’s why this is really important to us," Bella Sciara said.

The teens have a fundraiser Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chipotle on Baltimore Street in Blaine.
