Bitter cold temperatures to remain over the weekend

Minnesotans will need to continue to bundle up the next few days as Artic air is expected to stick around over the weekend.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Ken Barlow says temperatures during the day Friday will likely remain below zero. Similar conditions are expected Saturday.

The coldest day will be Sunday, with daytime temperatures remaining below zero. That evening, temperatures could drop to nearly -20 degrees, Barlow said.

Some flurries could fall Friday night and Saturday morning, however, accumulations would remain under an inch.

Warmer weather will return Tuesday, with temperatures reaching the teens.
