After a day of snowfall Monday, Minnesotans will experience slightly warmer weather Tuesday.

KSTP Meteorologist Wren Clair said snow accumulations totaled between 1 and a half inches and 4 and a half inches in the metro. Clair said areas in southern Minnesota saw much higher amounts of accumulation.

Because of the snow, some cities issued snow emergencies that remain in effect through Tuesday.

Moving into Tuesday, temperatures are expected to reach the 40s. Clair says a mostly cloudy sky is expected during the day.

Clair added there is a chance for lighter snow showers Tuesday night that could affect the evening commute.

Temperatures will rise to the mid-40s Wednesday, and similar temperatures are expected through the week.
