Minnesota Wild head coach Dean Evason met with the media Wednesday morning, via Zoom, at TRIA Rink in St. Paul.

Evason spoke about how he sees training camp going, the importance of training camp scrimmages, how the new division changes things for him and the team, gives an update on forward Mats Zuccarello and goalie Alex Stalock, how he handled the atypical offseason, if he thinks it's an advantage that a lot of his team has been in town skating and practicing with one another already, getting to know Kirill Kaprizov, and when he plans on naming a captain.

The Wild start training camp on Sunday, with the season opener coming Jan. 14 at Los Angeles.
