Vikings GM Spielman: Kirk Cousins is our quarterback

Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman met with the media, via zoom, Wednesday afternoon.


Spielman spoke about his thoughts on the new coaching staff Mike Zimmer put together, updated the Vikings draft process and said the team has interviewed over 120 players so far, how the Vikings have started virtual interviews with draft prospects as well, how he plans to be at more pro days this year, how he expects an active free agency period following teams cutting players, updated the Vikings cap situation, addressed the release of longtime Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph, how he has to balance tough business decisions while still trying to put a contender together, if he has had any communication with quarterback Kirk Cousins this offseason, how he envisions the draft process working out for the Vikings, and what the Vikings free agency approach will be this offseason.
