Lynx select Tennessee’s Rennia Davis in 1st round of the WNBA Draft

The Minnesota Lynx selected University of Tennessee forward Rennia Davis with the ninth overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft.

Davis averaged 15.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game over 118 games with the Volunteers. As a senior, she was Coaches All-SEC First Team after posting 17.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Following the draft, the Lynx also signed rookie forward Asheika Alexander from Langston University to the team’s training camp roster.

The Lynx open the 2021 season at home against Phoenix on May 14.
