Badgers clobber Gophers 8-1 to complete weekend sweep

Roman Ahcan and Ty Emberson each scored two goals as the Wisconsin men's hockey team completed a sweep of the 2nd ranked Gophers with an 8-1 win Saturday night in Minneapolis.

The Badgers jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period, then added three more answered goals in the second period to put the game out of reach.

Cameron Rowe made 27 saves for No. 11 Wisconsin. Ben Meyers scored Minnesota's only goal.

The Gophers visit Notre Dame on February 12 and 13.
