No. 4 Eagan volleyball sweeps Stillwater

The Eagan Wildcats volleyball team defeated the Stillwater Ponies, 3-0 on Tuesday evening at Stillwater Area High School.

In the first set, Stillwater led most of the way. But, Eagan mounted a comeback and got it to 20-18. The Wildcats took care of business the rest of the set to win it, 25-19.

The second set was close throughout. No team had a big lead in the set. A little over halfway through, the score was tied 15-15. The neck-and-neck set was then 19-19. Stillwater took at 21-19 lead, but Eagan fought back to make it 23-22 Wildcats following a Sienna Ifill block. Lauren Clark had the set-winning kill for Eagan, making it a 26-24 second set final.

In the third set, Eagan jumped out to a 10-7 lead. The Wildcats then grew the lead to 17-8. Ifill would end the game with a kill, giving Eagan the third set win, and match sweep, with a score of 25-12.

Eagan is highlighted by senior, and Auburn University commit Kendal Kemp, as well as senior, and Marquette University commit, Sienna Ifill.
