Roadwork to take place along Hwy 14 in Mankato this weekend

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is advising drivers planning to take Highway 14 in Mankato of road work this weekend.

According to MnDOT, roadwork will take place on the highway over the Minnesota River Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday’s work will start at 5 a.m., lasting until it’s dark outside, and will involve Xcel Energy crews working in the westbound lanes on a power line.

Sunday’s work will also start at 5 a.m., continuing into the afternoon, and will involve a MnDOT bridge crew working on one of the bridge deck’s eastbound lanes.

Lane restrictions will be in place and drivers will be asked to reduce their speeds.
