A total of 40 dogs recently made the trip from Oklahoma City to Golden Valley.

The dogs arrived in Minnesota from the Oklahoma Humane Society.

The Animal Humane Society says 22 of the 40 dogs are puppies. The dogs consist of Great Danes, Rottweilers, German Shepards, Bulldogs, Jack Russell Terriers and Labrador Retrievers.

AHS adds transporting of animals had stopped in March due to the situation surrounding COVID-19. However, they say animals will be transported at least once or twice a month, which in return will help alleviate the puppy shortage recently seen.
