Victim identified in fatal crash involving semi in Alexandria

One person died when their vehicle collided with a semi-truck that was blocking both lanes of a road in Alexandria.

Police said the crash happened at 7:45 p.m. along the 2600 block of 34th Avenue West. 

The driver of the semi was uninjured, but the other driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased was identified as 83-year-old Arlys Hendrickson of Alexandria.
