MPS moving to distance learning in preparation for Chauvin trial verdict

Minneapolis Public Schools is moving some students back to distance learning for the second half of next week in preparation for a verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin.

MPS said in-person learning will continue for all grades on Monday and Tuesday, but all in-person learning students will return to remote learning from Wednesday through Friday.

The district said school buildings will remain open but no athletic events, Minneapolis Kids or before and after-school child care will be held. However, meal box pick-ups will continue.
