Firefighters battle structure fires in Minneapolis, Richfield

Friday morning, firefighters were at the scene of two separate structure fires.

At about 3:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a house fire near 17th Avenue and East 27th Street in Minneapolis.

A KSTP photographer at the scene reported seeing smoke coming from the roof.

It was unclear how the fire started or whether anyone was hurt.

Earlier, crews responded to a garage fire in Richfield.

The fire happened in the area of East 75th Street and 13th Avenue South around 2 a.m.

A KSTP photographer at the scene reported seeing damage to a neighboring garage as well.
