Driver of stalled vehicle hit, injured on I-35W

A person was injured late Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 35W.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a 1982 Chevrolet C30 was stalled in the right lane of southbound I-35W near County Road I in Ramsey County at about 9:57 p.m.

At that time, the driver was outside of the stalled vehicle when a Chrysler 200, which was traveling south on I-35W, swerved to avoid hitting the Chevrolet and struck the driver.

The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

The crash is under investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, according to the crash report.
