Brooklyn Park shooting Saturday sends 1 to hospital, suspect not in custody

One person was hospitalized after a shooting Saturday evening in Brooklyn Park. 

At 8:16 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 7500 block of Brooklyn Boulevard, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement found a man with "numerous" gunshot wounds. 

Emergency personnel rendered medical aid to the man and he was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown. 

Police were unable to locate a suspect despite using a helicopter and K-9 track to search for them. Officers believe the suspect and victim knew one another, police said. 

An investigation is underway. 

There is no further information available at this time.
