Help sought in finding woman, 30, last seen near Mankato

Authorities in Mankato are seeking the public’s help in finding a woman who has been missing for two weeks.

According to an alert issued by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, 30-year-old Nyawuor Chuol was last seen around 8:45 p.m. on April 25 at the Casey’s in Eagle Lake, east of Mankato.

Chuol goes by “Sunday” and is also known as “Nyajuok” in the South Sudanese community, the BCA said. She is described as a Black woman who is 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Surveillance footage from Casey’s shows Chuol wearing a light pink or purple hat, a blue jacket, black leggings and brown boots. She was also carrying a white or tan over-the-shoulder bag, the alert states.

Anyone who has information on Chuol’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Mankato Department of Public Safety at 507-387-8744.
