The pandemic helped bring many people to visit state parks across Minnesota.

Some parks even broke all-time attendance records this summer.

This year,100,000 cars came through Afton State Park in Washington County, setting an all-time attendance record.

Park officials expect higher attendance through the fall.

"We are typically very busy for fall colors," Afton Assitant Park Manager Ali Crofts said. "We do not anticipate it slowing down throughout the whole season that are leaves are going to be changing."

Most state parks across Minnesota have seen an increase in attendance during the pandemic.
