Inside Your Health: COVID-19 mutation

Last week the U.K. returned to a nationwide lockdown in an effort to control a strain of the novel coronavirus that’s believed to be more contagious.

The strain has been detected in nine states in the U.S., including in Minnesota. Though it is not widespread, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warn cases could become much more common in the weeks ahead.
