Inside Your Health: Tinnitus

A study combining data from about 83 studies worldwide found evidence that one in seven or eight North Americans has tinnitus.

People who have tinnitus hear sounds in their head, like ringing, that are not happening in their external environment. Hundreds of causes could contribute to tinnitus, but luckily, there are treatments to help people cope.

In this week’s “Inside Your Health,” KSTP medical expert Dr. Archelle Georgiou explains this common medical problem that affects many people’s quality of life but does not get much attention.
