SLIDESHOW: More than 100 Pets Removed from Residence Near Bemidji
A recovery team from the Animal Humane Society removed 107 dogs and two cats from a residence near Bemidji, MN after the animals were found during a welfare check of the women residing there.
Forty-eight dogs were surrendered initially on Wednesday and the other 61 animals were found during a warranted search that left the property condemned. The dogs are mostly small breeds including pugs, dachshunds, and Chihuahuas.
The pets arrived at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley late Thursday evening. They will be provided care, vaccinated and prepared for adoption.
