Do you have an interesting Web site you'd like to see featured on Internet InSITE? Email Web Manager Justin Piehowski, jpiehowski@kstp.com. Watch INTERNET InSITE each Monday at 6:30 on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS MORNING.
Americans are expected to spend $33 billion online during the upcoming holiday season. That’s a lot of money, but there is a way that you can cut into that amount by finding secret deals online.
The site secretonlinedeals.com scours the site amazon.com, the world’s largest online retailer, then shares what it finds with subscribers in a regular email.
I get the email and it does seem to deliver what it promises. For example, in one email last week, the site found a $450 wristwatch for only $175 (61 percent savings) and an .mp3 player that regularly lists $250 for only $99 (60 percent savings).
Sometimes, the email finds even more unbelievable deals. In one case last week, the email found a $940 Tod’s leather handbag on sale for $200! However, there was only one in stock when the email went out, so I am sure that deal didn’t last long. They also posted a $76 DeWalt Battery Charger for only $12.25.
There are really great deals all throughout Amazon, however, the site has millions of items posted for sale. All this site does search the on sale products and then passes them along to you.
The email is very easy to sign up for, just go to secretonlinedeals.com and enter your information in the boxes in the upper-right hand side of the page and the deals will start landing in your email box.
Give the site a try and let me know if it works for you, I’d love to hear from you -- jpiehowski@kstp.com.
