Minn. Man Rollerblades to DC for Fundraiser
A Minnesota man's fundraising quest is taking him more than 1,300 miles on a pair of rollerblades.
Gary Walters and his 15-year-old son Jackson are traveling to Washington D.C. to raise money and awareness for youth mentoring programs.
Despite a nasty fall along the way the Kinship Programs mentor says nothing will stop him.
"Quitting isn't one of the options. There's lots of kids in need here and across the country and if a lot people step up we can change the world kid at a time," Walters said.
This isn't his first extreme challenge for the mentor program. Walters has biked New Orleans to Brainerd, walked the length of Minnesota in just 22 days, and even rode a unicycle for 24 hours.
